Related disorders like optic neuritis (ON), transverse myelitis (TM), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), and longitudinally extensive TM (LETM; 3 spinal cord vertebral segments) can all be monophasic or multiphasic, can occur together or individually, and can occur in adults or children.
